My name is Jacob Garbani and I am an Environment Artist and Game Designer. I attended school at Full Sail University where I graduated from both the Game Art Bachelor of Science and Game Design Master of Science degrees. In my time spent in Game Art I received Course Director Awards in Art Creation for Games as well as Game Technologies, and I also graduated as the Salutatorian in my Game Design degree.
I’m a down to earth person whose favorite hobbies include collecting and building LEGO, catching ‘em all in Pokémon, and enjoying the great outdoors with my loved ones and dog. I am proud of my Native American heritage and I use my upbringing to put out as much positivity as I can into the world. Telling a story through an environment is among my favorite things in gaming as there is something remarkable about walking into a virtual space and instantly feeling the significance of your surroundings.
I’ve chosen to pursue my career in the games industry because I’ve been playing games for as long as I can remember, and have wanted to contribute to the process of game development since I played my first Mario game. I believe games have the exceptional ability to spread camaraderie better than any other form of entertainment because we are all interacting within these spaces together. Through these interactions, we as developers can enable and build valuable memories and friendships for our players. It is a privilege to be a contributing player in bringing friends and families together.
